Our Mission
The Friends of Lone Pine Airport (FPLA) is dedicated to fostering civil aviation in the Owens Valley through supporting and improving the Lone Pine Death Valley Airport.
Goals of Friends of Lone Pine Airport
Renovation and upgrade of airport buildings
Advocate for upgrade of tarmac and runway areas, lighting, AWOS, etc
Advocate for upgrades to allow Life Flights out of Lone Pine at night
Foster events and gatherings at the airport
Create an FLPA Youth in Aviation program, and a STEM program for Owen’s Valley youth
Build a community of flyers who love the Lone Pine Death Valley Airport
